At a time when the energy transition in Latin America requires more coordination than rhetoric, the meeting between the Ecuadorian Association of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (AEEREE) and the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) marked a strategic step toward building dialogue spaces with real impact.

Eduardo Rosero, President of AEEREE, visited OLACDE’s headquarters to hold a working meeting with Andrés Rebolledo, Executive Secretary of the organization, and Fitzgerald Cantero, Director of Studies, Projects and Information. The discussion focused on a clear objective: strengthening regional cooperation on projects that accelerate the energy transition in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Beyond the institutional exchange, the meeting made it possible to advance the articulation of OLACDE with ExpoEnergía and Energy Summit Ecuador 2026—an event that seeks to consolidate itself as a point of convergence for innovation, investment, and energy policy. The presence of the regional organization in this forum is not merely a matter of protocol, but rather a response to the need to connect the region’s strategic vision with the actors who are currently implementing projects, making investment decisions, and shaping the country’s energy future.

ExpoEnergía is positioned as a platform where technical dialogue intersects with concrete opportunities for business, cooperation, and knowledge transfer. In this context, OLACDE’s participation strengthens the regional character of the event and brings a comprehensive perspective on shared challenges: energy mix diversification, energy efficiency, renewable integration, and the development of public policies aligned with the realities of Latin America.
