Throughout 2025, the Ecuadorian Association of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (AEEREE) experienced a deeply meaningful year, marked by commitment, conviction, and a strong sense of responsibility to support Ecuador during one of the most decisive moments in its energy history. Every space in which we participated became an opportunity to listen, propose, and build—combining a technical perspective with a human approach—the path toward a fair, sustainable, and competitive energy transition.

From the early months of the year, AEEREE took part in dialogue roundtables, business,

academic, and institutional forums, fostering conversations around sustainability, energy

efficiency, responsible investment, and energy security. At every meeting, we reaffirmed a

central idea: the energy transition is not only a technical challenge, but a historic opportunity to transform the country’s development model, generate employment, attract investment, and strengthen the resilience of the energy system.

Our presence in international arenas—across Europe, South America, and Asia—enabled Ecuador to connect with global trends, emerging technologies, and successful cooperation models. Trade fairs, business missions, and multilateral platforms became bridges to position the country as a territory with strong renewable potential, technical talent, and long-term vision. AEEREE embraced this role with responsibility, rigor, openness, and a strong vocation for dialogue.

The year 2025 was also one of collective learning and recognition, with participation in

sustainability summits, ESG forums, discussions on climate change and carbon markets, as well as academic spaces that helped raise awareness among new generations. Participation in the PreCOP and COP30 reaffirmed our commitment to climate action and to an energy future aligned with global challenges.

Today, AEEREE is consolidating itself as a reference institution and a meeting point where

knowledge, experience, and vision converge. We invite all stakeholders from the public, private, academic, and financial sectors to continue building together a cleaner, more efficient, and more resilient Ecuador. The energy transition is already underway, and at AEEREE we are convinced that the future is built through collaboration.
