AEEREE and ACOSOL strengthen regional cooperation to drive the energy transition.

Quito / Bogotá, December 18, 2025. – The Ecuadorian Association of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (AEEREE) and the Colombian Solar Energy Association (ACOSOL) signed a Collaboration Agreement aimed at strengthening technical and institutional cooperation between Ecuador and Colombia in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The agreement establishes a joint work agenda focused on the dissemination of energy-related content, the development of national and international training programs, the organization of academic and technical events, as well as the exchange of information and best practices to strengthen the sector in both Ecuador and Colombia.
Initial actions under the agreement include the formation of a binational working group, the coordination of communication strategies, the use of digital platforms for seminars, and mutual participation in events organized by both associations.
This interinstitutional, non-binding agreement will have an initial term of two years and reflects the commitment of AEEREE and ACOSOL to promote the energy transition, sector leadership, and regional integration as key pillars for sustainable development.
About ACOSOL
ACOSOL is a Colombian association that promotes the development of the solar industry and all activities related to solar photovoltaic energy. Currently, ACOSOL represents 131 companies involved in small-scale self-generation and distributed generation projects, an industry that has become one of the fundamental pillars of the energy transition due to the rapid growth of self-consumption. ACOSOL is present in 29 cities and 19 departments across Colombia and represents manufacturers from 12 countries.
About AEEREE
The Ecuadorian Association of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (AEEREE) is a non-profit civil organization dedicated to environmental protection through the promotion and development of renewable energy and energy efficiency in Ecuador. Its main objectives include strengthening the sector through continuous education and training, fostering collaboration with national and international stakeholders, and actively participating in academic, technical, and commercial spaces that support a sustainable energy transition. AEEREE has a national scope and is present in all 24 provinces of Ecuador.
